We have established Teachionary Development Accounts to hold and track contributions for adding new languages to Teachionary, and for expanding existing ones. Our promise to you is that when a threshold of US$1000 is met, a development project will be initiated, and the resulting new or enhanced language resources will be made available on the net within a month. Please contribute to any language that you would like to see, or see enhanced, in the Teachionary system. Tom Veatch is a Ph.D. linguist skilled in language description research using native-speaker informants. He can develop a Teachionary system for any widely-spoken language for which he can access native-speaker informants. Any language that is the national language of a country should be accessible; smaller regional languages are often also possible. Please contact us if you have questions about our ability to support a given language. We suggest that contributions of $25-100 be made. Contributors that give $100 or more will never be charged for personal access to that or another language's Teachionary service. If you wish, your name will be mentioned with thanks, in a list of contributors that sponsored work on that language, which will be visible in the Teachionary page for that language. To make a contribution via PayPal, enter language and click: Please include a note naming your language of choice; also please add any suggestions about the type of enhancements you'd like to see. |
